say it with me…

Do you use affirmations?

It wasn’t until this year that I actually made affirmations a daily practice in my own life - and they have greatly impacted my overall sentiment and enthusiasm every day.

What are affirmations?

Affirmations are positive statements that can help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. When you repeat them often, and believe in them, you can start to make positive changes.

Affirmations have the power to motivate you to act on certain things, help you to concentrate on achieving your goals in life, give you the power to change your negative thinking patterns and replace them with positive thinking patterns.

According to “Third Space”, affirmations “fire up your neural pathways and makes changes to those areas of the brain that makes you happy and positive. Various studies also confirm affirmations: decrease health-deteriorating stress, increase the amount of exercise people do, help you to eat more fruit and vegetables and achieve more academically.”

So what’s the harm in trying?

I am going to hook you up with a few affirmations to try this week - but add in as many as you need to stay motivated and pumped up through-out your days:

Today:

→ I am successful.
→ I believe in my dreams, myself, and all that I am.

Tuesday:

→ I create my own happiness.
→ I love myself, respect myself, and accept myself exactly as I am

Wednesday:

→ I am powerful.
→ I am proud of myself for getting this far.

Thursday:

→ I am strong. (F*ck ya, you are! 👊)
→ I am an unstoppable force of nature.

Friday:

→ All I need is within me right now.
→ I am in control of my life.

Saturday:

→ I am happy and grateful just as I am.
→ My challenges are actually, opportunities.

Sunday:

→ I am enough.
→ I am perfect just the way I am.

💫 We know that complimenting and lifting up people around us helps the people we love feel better. Why not give ourselves the same gift?

It may feel weird at first to say these affirmations aloud to yourself in the mirror, or in the shower, but it really shouldn't.

We should feel comfortable giving ourselves the love we deserve, rather than wait for the people around us to tell us.

We have to love ourselves first.

You are awesome.
Let yourself know.
