Sharing the Stage with Inspiring Women
It was truly an honour to participate in the WomENtrepreneur Panel at the University of Toronto Scarborough, hosted by the dynamic teams at the Entrepreneurship Association UTSC (@eautsc) and the Women in Business Association (@wibauoft). This event marked a meaningful collaboration between two organizations passionate about fostering a new wave of empowered female entrepreneurs.
The evening was filled with thoughtful discussions, practical insights, and inspiring stories from accomplished women leaders, each with their unique entrepreneurial journey. Sharing the stage with such powerhouse women was both humbling and a source of immense pride. Together, we aimed to ignite a spark of possibility and confidence in the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Empowering UTSC’s Aspiring Entrepreneurs
The event’s mission was clear: to connect female students with successful women in entrepreneurship, providing a platform to share experiences, lessons, and advice. It’s a privilege to stand as a living testament to the idea that the entrepreneurial journey, while challenging, is one of the most rewarding paths one can take. As panelists, we shared not only our wins but also our struggles—because entrepreneurship isn’t about perfection, it’s about persistence, innovation, and resilience.
During the panel, we covered a wide range of topics, from identifying market opportunities to balancing risk and reward, and even navigating the ever-evolving world of digital marketing and social media. The audience’s engagement and thoughtful questions demonstrated just how hungry they are to learn and grow, reaffirming the importance of creating these spaces for connection and mentorship.
The Power of Connection
One of the many joys of this event was connecting with the inspiring students in attendance. Each one of them holds so much potential, and their enthusiasm was infectious. I’m looking forward to seeing their ideas take flight and watching them thrive in their entrepreneurial pursuits. It’s moments like these that remind me why I’m so passionate about mentorship and community-building—because the ripple effect of empowerment is unstoppable.
Equally energizing was the chance to meet and collaborate with my fellow panelists, whose stories were as diverse as they were impactful. There’s something magical about coming together with women who are unapologetically carving their own paths while lifting others as they climb. It’s a reminder that success isn’t a solo journey; it’s built on collective support and shared wisdom.
Gratitude to the Organizers
A heartfelt thank-you to the teams at EAUTSC and WIBA for orchestrating such a seamless and impactful event. Your dedication to empowering women in entrepreneurship is inspiring, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this mission.
Looking Ahead
Social media is a powerful tool to stay connected with incredible people we meet along our journeys, and I’m excited to follow the students’ entrepreneurial adventures online and offline. This event is only the beginning of what I hope will be a lasting connection between us all.
To the women of UTSC: remember, your ideas have value, your vision has power, and the world is ready for what you have to offer. Keep dreaming big, learning often, and taking bold steps forward. You’ve got a cheering squad in your corner—and I, for one, can’t wait to see where your journey leads.
Here’s to inspiring the next generation of women entrepreneurs and building a future where female leadership is the norm, not the exception.
Let’s keep the conversation going—if you attended the panel or have entrepreneurial insights to share, I’d love to hear from you! Drop your thoughts in the comments or connect with me directly.
